Peoria SUPPORT Seminar: Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
As part of its monthly Peoria SUPPORT seminar series, the City of Peoria presents June's workshop centered around mental health in teenagers.
The two-day training takes place from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on June 26-27 in the Point of View Room at the City of Peoria offices, located at 9875 N. 85th Ave. in Peoria.
Topics covered include:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Substance Use
- Disorders in which psychosis can occur
- Disruptive Behavior Disorder (including AD/HD)
The workshop aims to teach professionals, family members and caregivers how to help teens ages 12-18 manage crisis and non-crisis situations related to mental health and addictions. The training is hosted by MIKID.
