3rd Annual Transition Institute for Parents, Youth and Young Adults

Raising Special Kids
Date/Time:
Saturday, July 28, 2018 - 8:30am to 4:00pm

Come on out to the 3rd Annual Transition Institute for Parents, Youth and Young Adults in Phoenix on July 28 for a day full of knowledge, testimonies and resources for young adults and teens with disabilities.

The Institute will take place at the Ability360 Conference Center, located at 5025 E. Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034.

This event will give you an overview of what you can plan for and ideas of what you can do NOW that will contribute to a successful transition.

  • Learn why supporting transition of youth from school to life as a young adult is so critical.
  • Become inspired when you hear from youth with disabilities who are moving along successfully through transition.
  • Learn about laws and services that exist to encourage and support employment for youth with disabilities.
  • Have opportunities to have personal discussions with Arizona experts from Vocational Rehabilitation, AZ Employment First, AZ Youth Leadership Forum, DDD, Behavioral Health, Children with Special Health Care Needs (OCSHCN) and College.

It can be overwhelming, but you will walk away with ideas from the Institute to help you focus on the most important actions that might help your family move forward NOW.

This event is hosted by Raising Special Kids and will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.

You can register by clicking on the link below or via phone by calling (602) 242-4366 or (800) 237-3007.
