ADC Day at the Capitol 2020: Two-Day Advocacy Event

The public is invited to the Arizona Disability Coalition Day at the Capitol 2020: Two Day Advocacy Event taking place March 3 and 4. This event will include legislative training and an Arizona State Capitol visit. The ADC Day at the Capitol has been expanded in 2020 from a one to two-day event.
It offers increased accessibility, more focused training and easier transitions. Participants can take part in Day One, Day Two or both. Admission is free. Lunch will be provided. Registration is required. Please register by February 28, 2020.
Day One: Tuesday, March 3 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Ability360, located at 5025 East Washington St. Phoenix, AZ 85034.
■ Customize your training with our Legislative 101 and Advanced Advocacy workshops.
■ Enjoy a behind the scenes “Virtual Tour of the Capitol” with Representative Jennifer Longdon; go places the public normally doesn’t see and hear what it is like to be a State legislator.
■ Learn about current bills and how to make your voice heard
Day Two: Wednesday, March 4 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Arizona State Capitol, located at 1700 W. Washington St, Phoenix, AZ 85007.
■ Participants will have the opportunity to be at the Capitol itself for scheduled appointments with their legislative representatives.
■ Teams of experienced advocates will be on hand to answer questions and lead group legislative appointments.
