April Autism Job Fair
Join the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix and Arizona@Work for an Autism Job Fair on April 10, 2018 from 1:00-4:45 p.m.
Location: Rio Salado College, 3320 S. Price Rd, Tempe, AZ (SW corner of Southern Avenue and Loop 101)
Sensory Friendly: This year's job fair will be split across 15-20 rooms, so each room will be quieter than previous job fair events.
Schedule:
1:00-4:00 p.m. - Registration
1:30-4:45 Job Fair - Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (and their parent/job coach if desired) meet with prospective employers individually. This will also be an opportunity to meet with provider agencies.
**Must register for one of three times: 1:30-2:30, 2:30-3:30, or 3:30-4:30 in order to attend.**
12:30-1:15 p.m. - Employer workshop
- Learn about employing adults on the autism spectrum, their strengths and challenges, and typical accommodations to help them be successful in the workplace.
1:00; 2:00; 3:00 - Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and parents/job coaches workshop
- Half-hour workshops for adults on the autism spectrum and their parents/job coaches to learn about the job fair, how to find a job, and how to keep a job (attendance is strongly encouraged, but not required).
This event is free, and registration is required; please wear professional clothing. Parents and job coaches are welcome to attend.
