World Down Syndrome Day is Thursday, March 21 and the Town of Gilbert will be lighting up the water tower in the colors of Down syndrome - gold and blue - on behalf of Sharing Down Syndrome Arizona!

Young adult local golfer Amy Bockerstette will be on hand as a special guest for photos. This 20-year-old young woman hitting a par on the 16th hole during last month's practice round at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. You can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYSjFvCNP7Q

The event will kick off  at the water tower (45 W Page Ave, Gilbert, 85233) at 5:15 p.m. for photos and a welcome from town officials, with the water tower being officially lit at 5:30 p.m.

After the lighting, anyone who is wanting to attend can meet up at Joe's Real BBQ across the way from the tower to purchase some delicious dinner and enjoy one another's company as Sharing Down Syndrome Arizona celebrates World Down Syndrome Day!
