Addressing Sexual Violence in IDD Communities: An Introduction

Details: This training, sponsored by the Arizona Developmental Disabilities Planning Council, was created for sexual violence advocates, disability service workers, medical personnel, and any other individuals interested in learning about the intersection of disability and sexual violence. This 4-hour training will begin at 10:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch on your own from 12 to 1. This training will include Sexual Violence 101, Introduction to Disability and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, The Intersection of Sexual Violence and the Disability Community, and a course about Mandatory Reporting. We will also have lots of time for questions and for networking among a multidisciplinary audience. Certificate of completion available upon request.
